PBS NewsHour contributor and Pulitzer Center grantee Justin Kenny discusses his trip to the Hazaribagh tannery district in Dhaka, Bangladesh—one of the world's most densely populated cities. Despite several court orders to close down, more than 150 tanneries in the small area continue to operate while dumping 21,000 cubic feet of untreated wastewater daily and sometimes employing children to perform some of the industry's most dangerous work.
