On June 30th, Jason Motlagh presented his reporting on India's internal conflicts to Americans for Informed Democracy's Global Scholar Program. The course seeks to give students a historical overview of international affairs and a background on the most important international institutions. It takes an in-depth look at globalization and the U.S. role in our increasingly globalized world.
Americans for Informed Democracy, a non-profit leader in global education, has designed Global Scholar to prepare outstanding high school students for college and the world beyond. The program builds on a shared sense among university leaders, policymakers, scientists, and business executives that young Americans need global competence to excel in their collegiate studies and their professional careers.
The Global Scholar curriculum is modeled on the "Introduction to World Affairs" courses offered at America's top universities. The curriculum is fast-paced and designed for high school students who have experience with honors or advanced placement courses.
