Betsy Karel Joins Pulitzer Center Board
The Pulitzer Center is pleased to announce that Betsy Karel has joined our Board.
Karel is a photographer based in Washington, DC. Her third photographic book is to be published Spring/Summer 2017 by Steidl. Her photographs are in the permanent collections of the National Gallery of Art, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, the U.S. Department of State's Art in Embassies program, and the Yale University Art Gallery.
She serves on the board of Human Rights Watch and chairs the Advisory Committee of the Women's Rights Division there. She also co-chairs the National Gallery of Art's Photography Committee.
