Pulitzer Center Update March 21, 2025
ACE Microgrants Call for Local Climate and Environment Movements in Africa

The Pulitzer Center's Africa outreach program is now accepting proposals for Africa Climate and Environment (ACE) Microgrants, aimed at local movements on the continent. The microgrants will promote engagement in environmental and climate issues through innovative ideas for outreach activities that clearly and creatively integrate one or more reports supported by the Pulitzer Center.
The outreach projects will target young professionals or communities on issues such as deforestation, the preservation of aquatic environments, and the impact of climate change on labor and workers.
Through microgrants, the Pulitzer Center's outreach program seeks to highlight the initiatives of local movements to promote platforms for free expression, sharing of knowledge and experiences, and incitement for change and action, while showcasing and using the resources featured in reports supported by the Pulitzer Center.
The local movements targeted will be civil society organizations, associations, media, social enterprises, and think tanks. The types of outreach activities we accept are diverse, ranging from conferences to exhibitions and campaigns.
The ACE Microgrants accept applications in English and French. Please read the guidelines for detailed information on eligibility and microgrant procedures here.
The deadline for applications is April 30, 2025.
