More than 1,000 families from nine villages in northern Iraq have been forced from their homes into refugee camps because of the violence between Kurdish rebels and the Iranian government. The two groups agreed to a cease fire on September 5, but villagers are not convinced it will last and are worried about returning back to their villages near the border. Pulitzer Center grantee David Enders reports on the situation in from the Qandil Mountains. Watch his video on the civilians' reaction to the cease fire on the McClatchy website.
