David Kortava

David Kortava is a Georgian-American journalist on the editorial staff of The New Yorker, where he has written about a range of cultural subjects, including food, theater, cinema, books, and fight craft.

Kortava was born in Tbilisi, grew up mostly in New Jersey, studied international affairs at Columbia University, and served in the Peace Corps in South Africa. He now lives in Brooklyn.
