Journalist Jhannet Melvi Rico Vela was born in and currently lives in Cochabamba, Bolivia. She is passionate about text editing and the intersection of politics and society in her country.

She started to work as a professional journalist her third year of training at Radio San Simón, where she was a news reporter. She then worked at the newspaper Opinión as a culture correspondent for the web. Next, she switched over to TV/broadcast journalism, becoming a news team member for Canal 21 TLC. She finished her degree in social communications in 2018, but has since pursued a diploma in digital media for education and communication.
