Jacob Russell

Jacob Russell is a freelance writer, photographer, and video journalist based in Lebanon. He has lived and worked in the region for a decade, training photographers at Iraq's first picture agency, reporting on the rise and fall of the Islamic State, the battle of Mosul, Lebanon's refugee crisis, and the disruptive adoption of blockchain technology in times of crisis.
His reporting outside the Middle East has taken him from filming musicians in remote Mongolia and eastern Ukraine to following the hunters of rural France.
