Dominique Martinez-Powell

Dominique Martinez-Powell is a senior at Southern Illinois University, majoring in psychology and minoring in journalism with specializations in pre-health and photojournalism.
She works as a photographer for the Daily Egyptian, SIU's student-run newspaper. She has worked in writing, photography, and graphics for the newspaper, and served as the photo editor.
Martinez-Powell graduated from Springfield High School in Springfield, Illinois, in 2017. She has won awards for her photography.
She hopes to become a doctor and freelance photojournalist.
