Catherine Wang
PULITZER CENTER ALUM
Catherine is a junior at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. She is majoring in English with concentrations in Creative Writing and Environmental Studies. She joins Pulitzer Center for her semester in DC which also includes a public policy seminar and a 50-page thesis project.
At Holy Cross she is an active participant in Holy Cross for a Cure, NEED Peer Educators, Club Field Hockey, HC Goes Unified and a columnist for The Crusader on-campus newspaper.
Catherine's interest in journalism and the Pulitzer Center grew from her involvement with the World of Difference club in high school and later as a participant in the Jesuit Universities Humanitarian Action Network Conference held at Georgetown University in 2010. Catherine is a 2009 Girl Scout Gold Award recipient. Her project educated the youth in her community on stewardship and sustainability. Throughout her time at the Pulitzer Center she hopes to focus on crises related to environmental issues.
