Alejandra Thais Canchanya

Journalist Alejandra Thais focuses on corruption and human rights violations in Peru. She is currently a journalist at Convoca, where she obtained the top award at the National Journalism Awards of Peru in 2019 for “The Case of the Gas Pipeline and the Secret Lists Of Odebrecht,” which was part of the coordinated cross-border investigation Division Bribery by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ).
She was also a finalist for the RELE 2019 Access to Public Information and Investigative Journalism Award. Thais is a member of Distintas Latitudes' LATAM Network of Young Journalists.
Her work has been published in the United Nations Information Centres, El Diario de la República, Convoca Radio, Revista Colibrí, and Distintas Latitudes.
