Voices of the Pacific in Motion is a journalistic series that investigates how sustainable management is key to preserving the Eastern Tropical Pacific Marine Biological Corridor (CMAR). This area connects the marine ecosystems of Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, and Ecuador. The CMAR is home to a great diversity of migratory species, including sharks, turtles, seabirds, and shorebirds.

Through narrative journalism, this project shows how marine and coastal communities, women leaders, artisanal fishers, scientists, local organizations, and national governments are driving nature-based solutions and policies through regional cooperation. This project also aims to show how science, research, and community participation have become key players in designing strategies that seek a balance between conservation and human livelihoods. All of this is within the context of such challenges as climate change, illegal fishing, pollution, invasive species, and the need for local and international policies to address the lack of funding sources.

Voices of the Pacific in Motion seeks to highlight local and multinational efforts that strengthen marine governance and promote shared management of ecosystems. The project combines journalism, science communication, and a human-centered narrative that connects ocean protection with the lives of those who inhabit it.
