The Pulitzer Center education team invites students, teachers, and the public to join us for a speaker series in which journalists highlight under-reported stories of resilience around the world. At a time when the headlines are dominated by crisis, we will explore stories of hope, joy, and connection while also learning more about how journalists investigate and communicate under-reported stories.

In this webinar, students will meet Tatenda Ngwaru, an intersex woman from Zimbabwe seeking asylum in the United States, and Robert Tokanel, a filmmaker who co-directed a documentary that tells her story. Robert will share how he and co-director Yuhong Pang made "She's Not a Boy" and will screen an excerpt of the film. Tatenda will discuss her personal journey and her work advocating for intersex visibility.

While this webinar is open to all students as well as the public, it is recommended for grades 7 and up.

Click here to register. Once you register, you will receive a link you can click to join the workshop. Your link is unique; each participant must register individually.
