Join us on Thursday, August 4, 2016, for a Talks @ Pulitzer conversation with Alexis Okeowo, a staff writer at The New Yorker and former Pulitzer Center grantee, as she takes us inside her latest reporting on the movement against extremism inside Kenyan classrooms and across the African continent.

The Pulitzer Center has supported two prior reporting projects by Okeowo: "China's Bloody Frontier in Zambia" and "The Promise of Life: Reproductive Choice in Africa."

Okeowo is also a fellow at the New America Foundation, currently writing a book on anti-extremism across Africa.

She joins us as part of her time in Washington, DC, participating in the 2016 NABJ/NAHJ Joint Convention, where she represents the Pulitzer Center in the workshop, "Breaking Into Foreign Freelancing." Registration for the conference and the workshop is separate from this Talks @ Pulitzer event.
