On Monday, March 24, award-winning environmental photojournalist Sean Gallagher speaks at the University of Michigan on China's expansive environmental issues.
The scale of China's enormous environmental issues can be difficult to fathom. Through visually compelling photography, Gallagher documented these environmental changes that go hand in hand with China's rapid development. With Pulitzer Center support, Gallagher traveled through China and wove photographic stories of the nation's most critical climate issues. "Meltdown: Climate Change and Environmental Degradation on the Tibetan Plateau," one of his reporting projects in his series resulted in a Pulitzer Center-produced e-book.
Gallagher's talk is part of a two-day visit to the University of Michigan with Pulitzer Center Senior Editor Tom Hundley to launch the Pulitzer Center's Campus Consortium partnership in Ann Arbor. The visit is presented by the Pulitzer Center and the University of Michigan's Howard R. Marsh Center and the Department of Communication Studies.
