The Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting and the University of Winsconsin- River Falls present "Heat of the Moment: Reports from the Frontlines of Climate Change." Pulitzer Center journalists Daniel Grossman and Steve Sapienza join moderator Fernando Delgado to discuss issues related to the human face of climate change around the world.
Daniel Grossman is an award-winning print journalist and radio and web producer with 20 years of experience. He has reported from all seven continents including from within 800 miles of the north and south poles. He holds a Ph.D. in political science and a B.S. in physics, both from MIT. He has been the recipient of a Alicia Patterson Foundation Fellowship and of a Ted Scripps Fellowship in Environmental Journalism at the University of Colorado in Boulder, where he studied climate science.
Steve Sapienza is an award-winning news and documentary producer who has covered a wide range of global issues. He was co-producer for LiveHopeLove.com, a web project investigating issues related to HIV/AIDS in Jamaica that recently won a News and Documentary Emmy Award. In 2008, he received a Ruth Adams Award for reporting on dwindling water supplies in Asia.
