The information flow from Pulitzer Center's fresh, in-depth reporting greatly enhances efforts to develop coherent, fact-based approaches to these states at risk and to surface better practices in policy response.
  • Charles Stewart Mott Foundation to develop content for the after school app, Mizzen, around The 1619 Project and other Pulitzer Center reporting.
  • Clinton Family Fund in support of the Richard C. Longworth Media Fellowships, which support international reporting projects by Midwestern journalists.
  • Conrad N. Hilton Foundation in support of the West Africa water and sanitation reporting initiative launch at World Water Week 2011 in Stockholm, Sweden.
  • DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities in support of K-12 programming in the District
  • The Educational Foundation of America in support of Global Gateway educational programs. Through this education initiative the Pulitzer Center engages teens and young adults in class and online by supporting development of issue-specific lesson plans, bringing journalists from the field to classrooms and promoting online dialogues about critical global affairs.
  • Eva Lohrer for the establishment of the Breakthrough Journalism Award to recognize and celebrate achievements of Pulitzer Center-affiliated freelance journalists.
  • Green Cross Switzerland in support of the reporting and education outreach on issues of pollution as a global health concern.
  • Helmsley Charitable Trust in support of reporting on critical issues across sub-Saharan Africa, including water and sanitation, land degradation and coastal erosion, education, maternal health, food security, and climate resilience.
  • Henry Luce Foundation to support preliminary assessment and reporting on global religious issues, and to support "Religion and Power," a sustained engagement campaign on global religious issues through reporting and university collaborations.
  • Howard Hughes Medical Institute's Department of Science Education in support of our Connected Coastlines reporting initiative.
  • Humanity United in support of reporting projects centered on labor issues surrounding key commodities of gold, shrimp and palm oil, and in support of sustained coverage of Sudan in run-up to 2011 referendum. This series portrays the human face of the epidemic, incorporating interactive multimedia presentations of essays, articles, poetry, photography, video documentaries, and original music. Series recognized as a Notable Entry in the 2008 Knight-Batten Awards for Innovations in Journalism; LiveHopeLove.com received a 2008 Knight-Batten Honorable Mention, a 2009 Webby People's Voice Award and a 2009 Emmy for new approaches to news and documentary programming.
  • McCormick Foundation in support of Youth Media Chicago, including after-school media programs to bring the Global Gateway and related issues and technical workshops to Chicago-area schools.
  • Meta (formerly Facebook) Journalism Project (MJP), an endowment gift to strengthen regional news outlets and community engagement. Support for the Pulitzer Center's initiative Bringing Stories Home is provided in part by MJP.
  • Norad, the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation, in support of reporting and engagement on oceans and strengthening journalism’s capacity to support environmental sustainability and expose corruption through journalist networks and civic engagement.
  • Norwegian International Climate and Forest Initiative (NICFI) in support of raising public awareness of the urgent environmental issues facing the world’s tropical forests, and the creation of the Rainforest Investigative Network.
  • Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI) in support of reporting and education outreach on emerging nuclear threats

The Rising Powers project is part of the New Global Reality series, including Georgia and Beyond: Russia's Response to Separatism and Ethnic Conflict, and India: Conflicts Within. The Rising Powers: The New Global Reality project is designed to raise awareness, motivate new thinking, and ultimately improve U.S. foreign policy regarding the global transformation that is occurring as a new group of countries exhibit a growing influence over the world's future.
