Impact of Natural Resource Exploitation on Communities and Nature in Basoko Territory

This project will focus on the consequences of conflicts between local communities and logging, mining, and agricultural concessionaires in the Basoko territory, Tshopo province in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Several proven elements motivated reporters' interest in this territory, notably the high number of protest movements reported by local civil society.

This project aims to contribute to the promotion of sustainable management of natural resources that are subject to abusive exploitation.
