Sara Mar
REPORTING FELLOW
Sara Mar is a recent MPH graduate from Boston University with a concentration in Health Policy and Law. They are passionate about enacting legislation to protect the health and rights of individuals who are systemically marginalized, and ensuring these communities are involved in the policy-making process. In this work, Mar is driven by a curiosity to learn how policy makers think and act. Mar believes good storytelling has the power to bring attention to untold narratives and spur political action.
Prior to BU, Mar attended the University of Washington and received their B.S. in Environmental Health. Mar has worked in a variety of government and nonprofit settings doing work in emergency preparedness, health equity, case management, and health communications. In their free time, Mar enjoys hiking, photography, cooking, and exploring the arts in all its forms.
