Emily Feldman is a journalist writing about migration, security and human rights. Her work has appeared in Newsweek Magazine, The New Yorker Online, Politico EU, The Daily Beast and other publications. She was based in Istanbul from 2013 until October 2017, covering the rise and fall of ISIS from Turkey, the Syrian border, Iraq and Europe. She is currently based in Washington, D.C. Previously she covered national and international news for NBC in New York. She is a graduate of City University of New York’s Graduate School of Journalism and a New York native.
