Chris Leslie

Chris Leslie is an award-winning photographer and filmmaker. He has documented stories across Eastern Europe, the Balkans, Africa, and Asia, as well as in his home city, Glasgow, Scotland.

His photo essays and writings appear regularly in The Guardian. His best-selling book, Disappearing Glasgow, documents the changing face of the city. His most recent project, A Balkan Journey, documents 25 years of peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As a director, his first feature-length documentary film was awarded two Scottish BAFTAs as well as two Golden Apple awards at the Bosnian-Herzegovinian NYC festival in 2014. The film was later shown around the world after being broadcast by Al Jazeera.
