Alma Beauvais

Alma Beauvais is a print journalist and fact-checker who is passionate about character-driven stories. When she is not reporting and writing about her home country, Haiti, her relevant interests lie in women’s rights, reproductive rights, women’s lifestyle, education, and healthcare. Her work appeared in The Nation, The Miami Herald, The Haitian Times, Columbia News Service, The West Georgian, and The Wolf Internet Radio.
After obtaining her master's degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in May 2022, Alma interned at The Miami Herald during the summer of 2022 and The Nation magazine from January to June 2023. She now holds a desk assistant position at WCBS 880 News.
