Starting in January 2013, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Paul Salopek will set out from Africa's Great Rift Valley on a seven-year, 21,000-mile journey, walking the path of ancient human migration. PBS NewsHour's Hari Sreenivasan talks to Salopek about his project.

As Paul Salopek journeys around the world on foot, he will follow the migration pathways of our ancestors who walked out of Africa 50,000 years ago.
