Ron Haviv, award-winning VII photojournalist, discusses preparing for the expected and unexpected when in the field and the studio. The discussion offers practical guidance and inspirational advice on getting out and back, while managing deadlines and other requirements. Ron tells how to plan for success, as well as to cope when the plans go wrong, with suggestions and anecdotes from 25 years of experience. Special guest lecturer Neal Jackson will discuss how to deal with assignment terms and contracts.

Equipment: Bring your notepad. This is a lecture by Ron, not a photographic workshop. Notwithstanding, it will be very interactive, so bring your questions!
