Sean Gallagher will present his past work on Desertification in China and his current Pulitzer Center project, China's Disappearing Wetlands at the TedXCanton in Guangzhou. He will also discuss the Pulitzer Center model. The event will be held in the Guangzhou Opera House. It will also be streamed live on the internet and broadcast on TV in China. Project

Desertification is one of the most important environmental challenges facing the world today, however it is arguably the most under-reported. Desertification is the gradual transformation of arable and habitable land into desert, usually caused by climate change and/or the improper use of land.
