Photojournalist and Pulitzer Center grantee Justin Cook will participate in a visual media workshop in Carbondale, Illinois, on April 12-14. He will guide students through the power of cultivating relationships with subjects, navigating identity and positionality as a photographer, and piecing together a narrative.

Cook’s Pulitzer Center-supported project 'Origins': Climate Change, Resistance, and Solutions in Princeville, North Carolina, America’s Oldest Black Town investigates how the town is connecting agriculture, geology, and history to build climate resilience.
