"Defending the Koshi" Documentary Short Screens at SIU-Carbondale

Jennifer Gonzalez and Steve Matzker screen their original documentary short "Defending the Koshi" at SIU Carbondale December 12, 2013.

The two multi-media journalists acquired stories, photographs and film footage of the communities along the Koshi river—documenting the attempts to defend the river amidst proposals to dam it for hydroelectric power.

The public event will start with an exhibit of their photographs at 6:30 p.m., and the short will begin at 7:30 p.m.
