Ziad and his family once had plenty of water to irrigate their land and sustain their home. Today, his village of Burqin faces severe water shortages. Much of the water that does exist is contaminated due to untreated sewage from settlements and the Palestinian cities of Ramallah and Nablus nearby and chemical waste that's deposited in the area. The village has one of the highest rates of cancer in the West Bank. Image by Carly Graf. Palestine, 2019.
