Justin Cook

Justin Cook is a photographer and journalist based in Durham, North Carolina. He documents resiliency in communities living along the edges in America, often by focusing on environmental issues, climate change and climate solutions.

He works with editorial and commercial clients locally and nationally, including Duke University, EarthJustice, The Guardian, the Marshall Project, the National Audubon Society, National Geographic, The New York Times, Science Magazine, The Trace, The Washington Post and others. His work has been funded by The Pulitzer Center, The Solutions Journalism Network Climate Solutions Fellowship, The North Carolina Arts Council, and honored by POYi, The Society of Professional Journalists, and American Photography.

When he is not making photographs, you can find him hunting for fossilized shark teeth in eastern North Carolina.
