This project investigates the labor conditions at America’s largest meatpacking company, Tyson Foods. The meatpacking industry has profited from a lack of oversight for decades. Tyson, headquartered in Arkansas, relies on immigrants and refugees to do the difficult and dangerous labor of processing chicken. During the pandemic, workers from Mexico, Central America, the Marshall Islands, Vietnam, and Myanmar have faced inhumane work conditions that have left them injured, disabled, or dead.
