Ethiopia: Educational Justice

Hashim Yonis, an administrative manager at a high school in Minneapolis, spent six weeks teaching at Adama #2 Middle School in Adama (also called Nazret), a city in central Ethiopia. Here he describes his experiences and discusses the country's educational system.

While in Ethiopia, Hashim saw how schools struggle to provide quality educational and social services for students and their families. Hashim believes that the ways in which schools respond to this tremendous challenge will have a significant impact on the economic future of the country.
