Michael G. Seamans
Michael G. Seamans is an award-winning photojournalist whose work has been recognized by the National Press Photographer’s Association, Colorado Associated Press Editors and Reporters, Colorado Press Association and the Maine Press Association.
His professional photojournalism career has brought him from the rebel-operated diamond mines in Sierra Leone to the steep ice and rock of the Moose’s Tooth in the Alaska Range. His documentary work has explored issues ranging from poverty and terminal illness to high angle adventure projects. Seamans is currently on staff at MaineToday Media, Inc. which includes daily newspapers Morning Sentinel, Kennebec Journal and Portland Press Herald.
