Marlena Carrillo

Marlena Carrillo is a multimedia reporter at the University of Florida. She will graduate in December 2022 with a bachelor’s in journalism and a specialization in psychology.
Carrillo interned at Irving Publications, where she wrote for Giggle magazine and Wellness 360. She has also written stories for Atrium magazine and WUFT News in Gainesville, Florida.
Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, Carrillo is passionate about sharing stories from the Sunshine State.
