Joshua Goodman

Joshua Goodman is the Associated Press’ Latin America correspondent based in Miami, where his reporting focuses on drugs, criminal activity, and the inner workings of U.S. foreign policy in what has long been considered Washington’s backyard.
Goodman brings more than two decades of experience reporting from Latin America, much of it with the AP but also Bloomberg News.
Prior to moving to his position in 2019, he was responsible for video, text, and photo operations as the AP’s news director for the Andean region based in Bogota, Colombia.
He has also lived in Buenos Aires, Caracas, and Rio de Janeiro, leading coverage of major stories such as anti-government unrest in Venezuela and the volatile Colombian peace process.
