Kate Mabus
REPORTING FELLOW
Kate Mabus is an undergraduate at the University of Chicago, where she studies creative writing and sociology. Her favorite part of the reporting process is getting to talk with new people and hear their stories, so she likes to bring a strong human focus and narrative voice to her work. While interning at BBC and USA Today she sought to highlight the unique, untold stories behind the national news. As a news editor at her student paper and freelance reporter with the local paper she likes to cover development, activism, and local history on Chicago’s South Side.
