Tracey Eaton presents “Cuba: The Battle for Hearts and Minds” to the Hemispheric Freedom Symposium

Pulitzer-sponsored journalist Tracey Eaton presents "Cuba: The Battle for Hearts and Minds" to the Hemispheric Freedom Symposium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Wednesdsay, Sept. 22. "Cuba: The Battle for Hearts in Minds" dissects the dissident movement, U.S. efforts to promote democracy in the region and the future of Cuba.<br>
This event will take place at 3:15 p.m. in the Manship Theatre.<br>
Tracey Eaton was the Dallas Morning News' bureau chief in Havana from 2000-2005. A journalist since 1983, he has vast experience in Latin America. He earned a master's degree in journalism from Temple University and was a Fulbright scholar in Ecuador. Eaton contributes to the New York Times' online Cuba page and travels to Cuba frequently. He also is a freelance writer and assistant professor at Flagler College in Florida.<br>
