Pulitzer Center grantee Lisa Palmer joins a panel discussion with author Meera Subramanian to discuss her new book A River Runs Again: India's Natural World in Crisis, from the Barren Cliffs of Rajasthan to the Farmlands of Karnataka at the Wilson Center on Tuesday, October 13.

The book follows Subramanian's investigatory travels concerning the hope to save India's natural world with a look into various sustainability and environmental grassroots movements. She explores several micro enterprises, from an engineer-turned-farmer growing organic food to a bold young woman in Bihar teaching young people the fundamentals of sexual health and unleashing their potential, ultimately revealing a growing hope for a more sustainable future from its current adverse state.

The Environmental Change and Security Program at the Wilson Center hosts the event featuring Subramanian, Palmer and fellow journalist Priyali Sur who will draw from their own experiences reporting on climate change, food security and women's health not only in India, but around the world. Panel moderated by Meaghan Parker, senior writer/editor for the Environmental Change and Security Program.

Reception follows panel. Register for this event today.
