Food Security

For approximately 2 billion people around the world, sustained and stable access to food is anything but guaranteed.

Insecurity results from climate change, conflict and displacement, urban development, population growth, and oil price shifts that are interconnected and rarely confined by borders. It's an issue of global importance and escalating urgency.

Pulitzer Center journalists explore the connected causes and effects of food insecurity, including solutions and efforts to secure physical and economic access to food for people and communities most in need.
