Wendell Steavenson

Wendell Steavenson has been a freelance reporter in the Middle East, Caucasus, and Europe, writing on war revolution and how food can illustrate the larger issues of our time for more than twenty years.
She has written for The Guardian, the Financial Times, Granta, and The New Yorker, among other outlets, and is the author of three nonfiction books and two novels. She was a Neiman Fellow in 2014 and a Guggenheim Fellow in 2021. She lives in Brittany.
