Juliana Arini is an investigative reporter and photographer with over 18 years of experience, specializing in the coverage of socio-environmental stories, energy, and the climate crisis in the Brazilian Amazon. She lives in Mato Grosso, where she works as a freelancer for National Geographic Brasil, Mongabay, Le Monde Diplomatique Brasil, DW-Brasil, O Globo newspaper, Channel 4, among others.

She had also worked as a reporter for the Brazilian magazines Época and Veja, and the G1 website.

Arini received her journalism degree from the Federal University of Mato Grosso in Brazil and her master's in theory of social communications from Casper Libero University in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Currently, she is studying psychology at the University of Cuiaba, also in Mato Grosso.
