A recent iWatch article by Pulitzer Center grantee Christiane Badgley, West African Oil Boom Overlooks Tattered Environmental Safety Net, has garnered significant attention among industry watchdogs, environmental groups and civil society organizations. Her reporting focuses on the rapid expansion of Ghana's oil industry despite serious environmental risks, inadequate monitoring systems, and a lack of equipment required to respond to possible oil spills.
