As Development Manager, Julia Kelmers oversees efforts to raise philanthropic funds from those interested in journalism, global affairs, and education. She sees media literacy and reporting as pivotal to an equitable and empathetic world.
Prior to joining the Pulitzer Center, Julia worked for NewSchools Venture fund, a Bay Area venture philanthropy. She also worked for the Smithsonian Institution at the National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian’s Central Office of Advancement, and the Freer|Sackler Gallery.
Julia holds a B.A. in Fine Arts, with a concentration in ceramics, and a minor in Archeology from George Washington University.
