Liz Scherffius is a documentary filmmaker and data journalist based in New York City. As an associate producer and researcher at Zero Point Zero Production, she is developing an investigative documentary series on the economics driving the global drug trade. She previously covered immigration, civil liberties, and women's issues as a BBC video journalist in the North America bureau. Originally from southwestern Montana, Liz pursued her B.A. in Latin American Studies at Pitzer College, and she began her career as an on-air foreign correspondent in Argentina and Ecuador. Liz received her Master's degree from the Columbia School of Journalism documentary program in December 2017. Her family has guarded a buttermilk biscuit recipe for generations.
