Hospital Pediátrico Legaría is supported by the Secretaría de Salud, part of the federal healthcare system established to provide funding to the unemployed and uninsured. However, hospitals such as this one remain underfunded. Patients are given the best of care from dedicated physicians and nurses, but attending practitioners cannot make up for the lack of medical technology and the shortage of services.
