Susana Seijas

GRANTEE

Susana Seijas is a freelance journalist and CBS News' freelance TV producer based in Mexico City. Previously, she was a Knight International Journalism Fellow at Televisa, where she trained Mexican journalists to use Mexico's access to information law in their investigative reporting. Prior to Televisa, Susana was a producer for BBC News (2005-2007) where she was part of the BBC team covering Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. Her past assignments include The Times (London), BBC World Service, Radio New Zealand, CBC News, PBS NewsHour, HDNet, Voice of America, The Discovery Channel, Slate, among others.
Susana Seijas is member of the advisory committee of the Rory Peck Trust, a UK charity dedicated to the welfare of freelance journalists. She is a graduate of Leeds University (Russian Studies) and the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University in New York.
