Jennifer is a Master’s candidate in English at Georgetown University, her undergraduate alma mater. She has worked extensively in education, literacy, and youth development programs in Houston, DC, and the San Francisco Bay Area. In both her studies and her community work, Jennifer is interested in the role of writing and literary journalism in politics and civic engagement. She has lived in Vietnam and Cambodia, which ignited an interest in global LGBTQ and gender issues.
A writer of fiction, creative non-fiction, and personal essays, Jennifer’s first book of short stories is set for publication in 2014.
