Jake Naughton

Jake received his bachelor’s degree of journalism from the University of Wisconsin—Madison in May 2010. He is a photographer and multimedia journalist who seeks to produce work internationally that adds nuance and deeper insight to the oversimplified news briefs that dominate coverage of international issues.

Additionally, he works as the Media Director for Kibera Girls Soccer Academy, a grassroots, free, all-girls high school in the Kibera slum of Nairobi, Kenya. He has traveled throughout East Africa and speaks Swahili conversationally.

His interests lie in the future of in-depth, critical and informed multimedia journalism and creating a more globally-engaged community.
