Elwood Brehmer
2010 W&M REPORTING FELLOW
Elwood Brehmer is a senior studying journalism at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. He grew up in River Falls and after a year at Carroll College in the Milwaukee area, returned to attend UW-River Falls. Thanks to family ties to the Anchorage area, he has had the opportunity to see much of what Alaska has to offer.
Elwood's spare time is reserved for fishing and building fishing rods. The infatuation he has for fishing, combined with the time he has spent in Alaska are the main reasons he decided to focus on the Yukon River salmon and their importance to Alaska.
