Christina Maria Paschyn's picture

Christina is an international journalist and holds both a bachelor and a master's degree in broadcast journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. In 2008 she was awarded a Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarship to study in Be'er Sheva, Israel, where she received a Master of Arts degree in Middle East Studies from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.

Christina has reported for news organizations across the globe, including E News in Johannesburg, the CBS News bureau in London, TIME Magazine in London and KVRR-TV in Fargo as the station's political reporter in Washington, D.C. She also has filed freelance stories from Australia, Scotland and Ukraine.

In 2009 during the Gaza War, she reported on the rocket strikes in southern Israel for CNN and WEWS News Channel 5 in Cleveland. Christina has extensive travel experience in Eastern Europe and the Middle East; she has lived and done volunteer work in Ukraine, Russia, Egypt, Israel and the West Bank. Fluent in Ukrainian, she is gradually gaining proficiency in Arabic and Hebrew.
