These three lessons by artist-educator Diana Greene are based on a Pulitzer Center NewsArts workshop for journalism students at R.J. Reynolds High School in Winston-Salem, NC. The workshop guided students in researching and creating a film that explores connections between Winston-Salem’s history of textile manufacturing and the growing global textiles industry. Students learned how to conduct in-depth research and interviews, visualize their research, write and record narrations, and collaborate with their classmates to order the short films into a larger narrative.
